SOUTH COLTON LIVABLE CORRIDOR PROJECT

CLIENT: DUDEK AND THE CITY OF COLTON

FUNDED BY THE SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF GOVERNMENTS

In this project, we had the unique opportunity to engage the residents of the neighborhood of South Colton over the course of a year in a series of model-building exercises, pop-ups, and sensory-based walking tours that mined their core values and creative ideas for making their neighborhood greener, safer, and more walkable. The final Livable Corridor Plan we created contained not just designs that the project team had come up with, but also the residents own DIY ways in which they have already been enhancing the livability of the neighborhood, oftentimes in the face of great odds.
